Zohara: The new ‘must-have handbags inspired by NI

As you guys know I am a huge supporter of local businesses and talent. So, when I discovered stunning new handbag brand Zohara was not only based in Northern Ireland but also inspired by the beautiful North Coast, well, I was more than a little excited. I first spied the company on Instagram and fell for the clean, sleek look of the collection and the beautiful colours. (When you fall in love too make sure to scroll to the bottom of this blog for the special purchase code).

If you follow me on snapchat or instagram you will remember I was lucky enough to then be invited to a blogger brunch event with the Zohara team a couple of weeks ago at Harlem Cafe in Belfast. With work commitments I’m not able to attend many events but this was one I wasn’t for missing and boy was I glad! I had a fab morning catching up with some of my fellow blogging buddies (and meeting some new ones) as well as getting to know some of the Zohara gals and of course the two amazing handbag collections.

I love the story and thought process behind each of the bags and the simplicity of design. However I have to admit my absolute favourite detail about these handbags has to be the coloured leather tassels which every single bag is finished with. Each collection is represented by a different coloured tassel. The latest collection, The Ballintoy, have been given a fab yellow tassel that I think gives the bags a real fun, modern twist.

Before we left the event we were very kindly gifted a bag each. I was literally blown away not only by the generosity but also by the fact that the team actually chose my favourite bag for me, The Whitfield, hows that for luck!! The whitfield comes in both a stunning orange and beautiful pale grey. I’m now a proud owner of the grey which literally goes with absolutely everything! If you’re like me and literally carry around your life in your handbag but still love a structured shape, then the Whitfield will be your favourite too.

I have a feeling that this brand is just going to blow up over the coming months and years and be highly HIGHLY sought after (you heard it here first lol). I already have my eye on two others, the Chelsea in the pale pink combo and the Notting Hill in yellow… though I’m also drooling over the Drury in navy and pink. I’ve a feeling this could have been a dangerous introduction!!

Zohara is what I would call affordable luxury. The quality of the leather and finish of these bags is genuinely brilliant and you would easily assume they were high end designer. The price tag however is more high-end highstreet with the handbags retailing between £119-£179 which to be honest for what you get I think is very reasonable investment. Especially when you consider the rising price tags of some low-quality highstreet brand bags. I personally will be purchasing another one for sure.

Anyways, that’s enough of me rambling, you can judge for yourselves from the photos (though they really don’t do it justice – nor do you get that amazing leather smell which I adore).

Special Purchase code

At the event the Zohara team also gave me a special purchase code to share with you guys which is valid until the 31st of August.

With this code DDONOHOESTYLIST you will receive a gorgeous Coast & Co gift set worth £23 when you purchase a bag from

Coast and Co are another local Northern Irish company which creates luxury cosmetics and fragrances. Definitely a nice little extra gift along with a beautiful new bag.

I can honestly say this is a purchase you will not regret ladies. You can have a nosey at both collections on the Zohara websiteprepare to create a long wishlist lol!

Lots of Love,

Danielle xx
